Ludshott Computing Offers a wide variety of computer services for both business and domestic clients. These include:
- PC hardware (disks, memory, systems) upgrades and replacements.
- Remote support available via secure login to your machines.
- Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Software upgrades and problem solving.
- Bespoke development of desktop and web software including databases.
- Internet and Ethernet local area networks (LANs) including supply and configuration of switches and routers.
- Consultancy and teaching best practises regarding your use of computer equipment and preventative maintenance including backups.
Business Rates
On-Site
For working in a client’s offices I charge per day or half day. Ludshott Computing Services defines these terms as follows:
A full day is 7.5 hours 9am – 5pm with 30 mins for lunch.
A half day is 3.5 hours 9am – 12.30pm or 2pm to 5.30pm
There is a minimum of 1/2 day charge and the actual start/end times may vary to suit the client’s office hours and culture.
Off-Site
These days most website and application development work can be done off-site from Ludshott Computing’s Office after initial meeting to discuss requirements. The rates charged for such offsite work are always less than for on-site work. Free software can be installed to allow secure remote support work to be done via the internet at the customer’s request.
When working on a client’s site (on-site), a suitable PC with development software will need to be supplied for use by Ludshott Computing Services’ staff. This is not the case for Off-site work because we have an existing infrastructure that supports development and code management servers.

Domestic Rates
Bring Your Computer
Although Mark is happy to visit you at home, you can bring your computer to the Headley Down office and leave it to be worked on for a day or so. There is appropriate Public Liability Insurance to cover visits to the office. Charges start from £25/hour but the first 20 minutes of the initial consultation time is free. After the initial visit free software can be installed to allow secure remote support work to be done via the internet at the customer’s request. Home Call Outs
Call out charges start from £35/hour including any travel time. Discounts are available for a regular monthly maintenance scheme so please ask.
