Computer Support

Support for a variety of computers is available either on an ad-hoc basis via a call-out by the customer or as a regular monthly healthcheck for peace of mind.

With his early interest in electronics before the advent of the PC, throughout his industry experience Mark has built and maintained a variety of different PC hardware.

Today this translates into the ability to offer advice and maintenance services.

Windows Support

Examples of such are:

  • Removal of viruses and Spyware
  • Replacing faulty power supplies
  • Upgrading and installation of hard drives
  • Upgrading memory
  • Backup of personal information
  • Installation and customisation of new operating systems such as Windows 7

Although the above can be carried out on-site, the machine can be removed while work is carried out back in the workshop as this allows long running installations and other operations to be done in a cost effective manner for the customer.

Linux Support

Some customers have Linux machines and Mark can help with their maintenance since he has maintained a keen interest in a variety of Linux related operating systems for 10 years. He runs three Mint 10 machines and a Centos 6.2 machine as well as a number of virtualised machines for testing distributions such asĀ Ubuntu and Suse.
